Very impressive work Dave! Nice variety of castings! You have obviously put some thought into what you wanted to make! Really like the pine cones! Cool!

Dave, really a beautiful mix. I especially like the blackwood/brass combination. How large are they, I'd guess around 2" in diameter. Did you turn the outside on the lathe and then drill the smaller hole? I have some centers I've cut from bracelets and thought about trying to use them for pendants to make a nice set.

They are a dual- axis turning. So there's three fixings really. I turn the back flat, gripped in a four jaw chuck, and true up at least 1/8" or so of the edge.
Then it's stuck with double face tape to a mandrel thingy that has two holes for fixing in a screw chuck. So then turn the face and make pretty. Then change holes on the screw chuck, drill the hole and make that pretty. Sounds like a lot but really they go fast...
