Another weekend of turning classes.
Learned lots and realized this is only the tip of the iceberg for learning the spinny world...
I did come away with a few bowls.
Only two came home as I left one behind at my brothers house.
Small price to pay for room and board for a night.
This first bowl is figured maple. 9"x 4".
Big hunk of wood to start with for me.
I wanted to try something with straight lines. ( hard to give up that flat world completely)
Making the transition on the inside side to the bottom took me a while to get just so without any curve.
Salad bowl for two.:D
133423 133424
The second is a small maple bowl.
Nothing special.
But If I keep on like this my wife will have a ton of candy bowls..
133425
Thanks for taking a look.
And sorry about the pics.
Thats another thing one will have to learn.
As a side note.
They should not hold these classes in a store.
Break time is very hard on ones wallet.
After two weekends I may have to get an extra job...
