I am having one of my Sunday afternoon brain storms.
Have an idea for a project and looking for some kind of very thin sheets of metal. I need metal as I will need a magnet to stick to it. Aluminum foil would be perfect, if a magnet would stick to it. It would have to be cheap to be cost effective. Would like sheets 8x11 or larger.

Any ideas?????

These people have thin films, not sure if their chrome film will attract a magnet or not.

"Cheap" can mean a lot of things. You can buy sheets of metal flat, or HVAC duct, or old tin cans, or ... These are not so thin as foil, but that's available from McMaster, among other places. For instance their $9.19 item 9500K17 (http://www.mcmaster.com/itm/find.ASP?tab=find&context=psrchDtlLink&fasttrack=False&searchstring=9500K17) is a 6" wide x 100" long sheet of steel that's 0.004" thick, about the same a sheet of paper. They carry pretty much any other size you want too.
