So naturally I turned a goblet. Actually its more wine-glass shaped as I wanted to practice on an undercut side. Ash about 7" tall from some blanks the LOML bought for our anniversary. Also working on photo technique. Critique welcome, thanks for looking!

Which ring tool did you get?

Roy, I bought the 3/16" from Packard (probably a Hamlet).

I like the shape, and the ash makes for a very interesting grain with the ring. Nice work!

Very nice! What's the diameter of the cup and what size wood did you use?

Alan, it was a 3x3x12 block - I made a mortice (as in mortise and pestil) out of 4" and the goblet out of the rest. Several coats of wipe on poly instead of my normal lacquer.
