This little planer has developed feeding problems. Seems like when I'm planing stock, the feed rollers feed and stop every 6 inches, then we have to push, and then get another 6 inches and another stop.....
Strange. When there's no load, we can see the roller turning just fine.
Anybody have similar problems?
Thanks in advance--
Dave

Try cleaning off the rollers with some alcohol. Also, try waxing the bed and tables.

That fixes mine.

Not sure if this really applies, if anyone thinks this is dangerous/inappropriate don't hesitate to say so. I know that when I use to have to deal with laser jet printers the rollers would often get hard and dry after a lot of use and rubbing on a light coat of brake fluid then immediately rubbing it off did a pretty good job at making them tacky/soft enough they could returning to normal operation. I'm not sure if this would work with a planer's rollers or not but may be worth considering.

If the roller cleaning doesn't work, open up the side and see if you have a gear with a couple of missing teeth.
