Heres a small Hickory vessel I just finished. I usually don't turn wormy wood, I usually just throw it away. I didn't know this piece was wormy when I put it on the lathe. However I figured I go ahead & finish this one since it was already on the lathe. Didn't turn out to bad.

i always love the worm tracks. The difference in grain on both sides made me think these were 2 different pieces.

How small is it Joe? Not one of your 3 ft. tall pieces?

No it's far from 3 ft.
It's only about 9" tall.
I am about to put the finish on a maple vessel that's about 28" tall though.
I'll post a pic when it's done. However it may be a few weeks I'm just getting to the really busy season at my work, & free time is scarce:(

Thanks Joe. Nice vase, even if it is a itty-bitty one (by your standards).
