This may be like the segment they used to do on the Tonight Show--Will it Float?
I am doing some small projects--peppermills, brush handles, etc. and trying out Waterlox as a finish. I put some on a cocobolo brush handle and after two days it is still tacky. The can says it is good for oily exotic woods, but I'm not sure that includes cocobolo. Should I just give it more time or should I wipe it off and try something else?

It's a good idea to wipe down exotics with lacquer thinner before you apply any film forming finish. Mineral spirits will work though not as well as lacquer thinner.

What temp are you storing this project while it dries and cures?

70+ is good; lower than 65 can delay or even prevent the proper curing process.

Waterlox in general is one of the slower drying finishes.
