A few years ago I bought a product like the one in this link but from Woodpeckers. I love how it is so good at collecting dust. I cut a hole in the side of mine, mounted a flange to attach a hose for the above table collection. It works great. I saw this box on sale, and thought it might work for others too. Click here (http://www.ptreeusa.com/edirect_111709.htm) to see it. Some where on Sawmill Creek, I do have pictures of my set up. I will try to find them.

Here is a picture of my set up. http://sawmillcreek.org/album.php?albumid=246&pictureid=2420

I built something similar for my router table. I used some scrap plywood, so it didn't cost me anything.

I like that TS setup. I thought about doing that but decided against it and am in the planning stages of building my NYW table. I plan to make a few modifications to the original plans and the dust collection is one of them. I'm going to build my own dust collection setup as opposed to buying the dust cover from Rockler. I see from the pictures of your shop that you are a Ridgid owner thru and thru. How do you like your Ridgid Band Saw and Drill Press?

I just built my 3rd router table to accommodate a new router table top. The dust collection system looks very similar to the Arnold setup: One 4" duct at the bottom of the cabinet with angled pieces to direct the dust to the duct. I have an 1100 cfm Jet dust collection system pulling the 4" hose. Plus I have a dry vac 2" hose going to a Bench Dog fence directed right behind the router bit. Together those two systems give me very little dust.

I bought all of the Ridgid tools at once, so the manager gave me a 15% discount. They are not the best tools, but I think the are the best tool for the money. Band saw works fine for me. I wish it had more power, but so far it has done everything I have asked of it. The drill press is ok too. I wish it had a different way to set the depth stop.

Overall I like the equipment. Good value in my book.

I did have a free standing router table but needed the space for a drum sander. The router in the wing has worked out fine for me. No complaints yet.

Your setup looks good Bill. Nice to collect the dust and not breath it.

I simply don't have room (or the inclination) to build a stand-alone router table. Since I cannot bear to shorten the 50" AccuFence on my PM66, that long table might as well be put to use! Seldom do I ever cut any sheet goods over 24" wide anyhow! That's Lots of real estate going to waste! A router insert (with great dust collection) makes perfect sense!!
