Guys, I have access to some exotic woods, and I want to cut some wood for my sister, so she can create her own acoustic guitar.

I understand the back is typically from 2 pieces of wood, as are the sides. All bookmatched. I'm also finding that the two back pieces should be about 8.5" wide, each, and the sides about 5" wide, each.

But...how long? Can someone tell me how long the back pieces should be, and how long the sides should be?

Also, feel free to let me know if the dimensions I've given above, for widths is wrong.

There are several different sizes of acoustic guitars. It is pretty common to buy classical sets which the back pieces are 21"x7.5" and the sides are 30.5" x 4.25". A steel string dimentions are 21.5"x8.5" for the back and 32.5" x5" for the sides. They are about 3/16" thick.
