After several suggestions after the last thread about these cool boxes here is a second round. I used curly maple this time and made the pins smaller given the overall small scale of these items. The larger is about 9 inches wide and is made from curly maple and walnut. The smaller is about 5 1/2 inches wide, made all from curly maple. I tried to match the grain of the dowel to match the top, but it is tough since it is cut into segments, then assemble, but the hinge still blends in very well when the lid is closed. Fun projects, I hope their final owners will enjoy them as much as I have.

As before, very beautiful.

I am sure the new owners will love them. If they do not, I will be glad to supply my address for any recipient to mail theirs to me.

Do you have any pictures of the pieces before assembly?

I am kind of curious as to how the hinging works on these.
