That is really cool. :)

You'll have to post pictures of the finished scooter. I'd really like to see them.

A woodworker with a wooden scooter. That will be great advertising as you drive around town. Looks like a lot of ingenuity is going into making those pieces. I'm looking forward to the finished project.

That's some nice contour work your doing there, Deni. I love the whole idea and hope to see a picture of the finished product when you get done.

an English friend came by and ask if i wanna sell the project i am doing now, then he also ask if i can make wooden 1937 Bentley torpedo roadster from vw beetle rolling chassis,
and i said : if the fun and money are good then i will take the job,lol

Wing sounds good to me Deni as I don't know what it's called either. I would probably just refer to it as the front "thingy-ma-jig". :D And if you decide to make that road-ster... I for one am all eyes and can't wait to see that done!

Cheers...

This is really cool!

What sized motor are you using? I assume you'll need a little extra power since the scooter is going to weigh a lot more than a standard steel and fiberglass version.

I'm excited to see the finished product!

That will be plenty of power from a reliable engine. Very cool!

Deni,
Very nice project, and the dedication to your work shows. I'm sure that you have the finishing process down to an art also.
By the way, the piece you refer to is known as a 'fairing'. I that where the marker/turn lights will be mounted? That would be ideal, and look nice molded into it.
Again, Great work.

Deni, all those contours is way out of my comfort zone and i'm impressed.

What would probably be more impressive is the tools you are using to build this thing.

If you have time, a few pictures of your Indonesia woodshop could probably start a new thread in the workshop forum.

That is one helluva cool project. I actually did a sound system on a Vespa a few years ago. It had molded fiberglass speaker pods and 8 track. The guy had an obsession with 8 tracks. I really like your project. You've got quite the creative mind.

I have been quietly watching this one, as I wasn't real sure how this was going to progress. Man, I am impressed!! That is going to have some beautiful shape to it, and I imagine when the finish is applied, we will see some fantastic stuff happen. Looking forward to more!

Pretty impressive....while most of us complain about not having this or that power tool, here is an artisan who doesn't even have power some of the time. Humbling.
