Can't beat this wood... looks great, turns great, finishes nice and easy.

Did the pic not load or is this just a conversation about the wood? If so, no comment, I haven't seen Red Gum Burl before.:D:D

Hmmm.... I've tried 3 times to look at it. I can't see it but obviously it's there, William can see it

That's beautiful. I just bought a sweet looking piece of red gum and it's got a bunch of figure. I'm gonna make it into 2 end grain "end" tables. :D

so my question is, is this red gum eucalyptus or ?? what kind of tree is it from?

If it's Australian redgum it may be one of several species but the most common is River Red gum: Eucalyptus Camaldulensis.
