This is a simple bowl made of chinaberry, it is just over 14" in diameter. The thickness is ~ 3/8", finish is tung oil and paste wax.

That is a beautiful bowl. Really like the feet on it.

Very nice. Not sure if I have ever seen Chinaberry before. Is it native to Texas?

Yes we have China Berry Trees all over.

Nice bowl! From the pics, the wood favors sassafras. Nice color and grain.

I love the bowl. How was the chinaberry to turn? We've got some around my part of the country as well. I made a pen a few years ago from a piece if chinaberry Burl that was beautiful cream and pale yellow... Sold quickly. Thanks for posting
