I have had the motor, Jet impeller, and intention to build a Pentz cyclone since about 2003. I guess I have put it off long enough. I know there was a lot of concern/discussion about the "best" way to attach the impeller to the motor shaft. I downloaded the manual for the Jet cyclone to see how they were mounting it, and it looks like the shaft is threaded and the impeller held on with a washer and nut (left thread?). Would this be feasible with the Leeson motor? I ordered this split taper bushing (http://www.drillspot.com/products/49514/Browning_H_7_8_Split_Taper_Bushing) based on a suggestion in another thread as a possible solution, but the flange was not large enough to match up with the holes on the impeller. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
