those are the two places i buy from, just depends on which is cheaper at the time.

I saw in a catalog yesterday they wanted 99 dollars for a pound of orange flakes I thought this was outrageous

Homestead Finishing. Their flakes are absolutely great to work with. They disolve very very quickly relative to some other flakes that I have tried. There is also very little "junk" in their shellac. I have mixed up flakes that have little bits of "stuff" in it that needs to be strained out.
