The is the finished version of a HF from a previous thread; http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?p=1234238#post1234238
The HF is about 7" diameter and is finished with lacquer.

Excellent! Amazing wood - great finish! I still think this is the first time I have ever heard of Water Elm - but it sure is some pretty wood! Thanks for sharing!

Elm sure seems to have alot going for it looks wise. Don't water elms grow basically in standing water most of the year? I know bonsai folks like to collect them in the summer when the water has receded.
