Stanley 148

I have been looking for a tongue and groove plane and I came across a stanley 148. Is this plane just as good as a 48?

its much better, only thing if its like mine its made for 7/8 stock, I made a 1/16th light tap fit stainless steel band and put around the center skate or fence so it will center on 3/4.

Thanks for the reply. I will see if its still available. Out of curiosity, how does it stack it against a Lie Nielsen tongue and groove plane. I watched the video it is sure looks nice. Not sure I want to pay that much for it though!
