Table saw cabinet ideas

A cabinet was suggested and I've fallen in love with the idea. It's a must have now. I've searched the Net since that post and have come across two plans. It seems that everyone has an affiliate program an is selling the same things over and over. :)

I'd love to see photos of the table saw cabinets you have and hear any advice you might be able to give me.

Some things I'm looking for:

Dust collection
Blade and tool storage
Fence and miter gauge storage
Router cabinet w/dust collection
I haven't decided on the fence system I want, so I'm not sure of the ultimate dimensions of the cabinet. I'm leaning toward something shorter around 30".

A couple of years ago, American Woodworker designed what they called the 'Ultimate Tool Stand', very similar to the BT3k threads in another reply. Their page is gone from their site, but there are copies available in a couple of archives. I had it at one time, didn't wind up building it for various reasons, but cannot locate it on my computer at this time or I'd email it to you.

Another search to look for is Popular Woodworking's 'Little Shop' series.

You can draw up your own plans. I have about 10 minutes drawing time in the jointer base plan & about 20 minutes in the table-saw base plan. You can see both here. http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=12434

All I did is figure out how high I wanted the tool top to be when finished & how deep, wide & high the case needed to be to provide the height needed. & room inside to fit the drawers or shelves or dust collection I wanted there. Don't forget to include casters or the tool base your going to use in the measurements. Its really pretty simple. Actually I didn't even use a straight edge, just a quick free hand sketch with dimensions written in. The most important thing is your cut list.

I am not bragging here but it does help to be able to envision what you want & how it should look when finished. I know some people have a hard time doing this. I have a friend that can't do this & needs a complete detailed drawing. If this is the case you can make your own, give it a try it's fun.

First I make the face frame & then cut the material for the case the 2 ends, back, top & bottom,dividing panels then run dado's or rabbits as needed & glue & nail the case together make sure its square & fasten the face frame on. Then make the shelves, drawers & doors, install the drawer glides, shelves, mount the doors with the cabinet laying on its back & install knobs or handles etc... :D
