These are the first Christmas Ornaments that I have turned other than the Bird House Ornaments. I have tried the one with the tree inside before, but never could get the opening to come out even. This one did and I think it is because of my new Delta 46-460 Lathe. It runs truer than the Jet 1236.

These have a wall thickness of about 1/8 inch. I drilled a 1 1/16 holefirst, then used a spindle gouge to finish up.

Like um, one with the tree is my favorite. Will look nice on the tree.

Nice. Is the tree one an inside-out design? Those look really hard to conceptualize to me. Oops, now I read the whole post, I see. The tree is glued in then? Still a nice looking ornament.

Beauties. Really nice ornaments. Are the last two hollowed? What finish did you use?

Nice trio of ornaments... I think the second is my favorite with the long, delicate finials. Thanks for posting

Yes, they are hollow. The walls are about 1/8 inch. I used Teak Oil and Beale buffed.

Nice variety Bill! Watch out for ornaments - they are small, fast and habit forming!
