I finally found some time to try a little wood engraving and cutting and came up with this clock. It's about 6 inches across and seven inches high. We'll add it to our product list and use them as "thank you's" for our larger customers. I know, the glue job is a little sloppy. I'm not a detail kind of guy, so I've got some work to do on that. Material is 1/4" ply from Michaels. Base has slot and clock face has a 4" tab that sits in base and then glue (too much :-( ) is applied. I just changed the hands out to black hands and it looks better - eaiser to read.

I may try a 12" wall clock that will be personalized with the departments name, etc.

Very neat Randy, now get some glue lessons and you'll be laughing.

Great idea. I would mess around with the frequency on my cuts to see if it would char less. It was a revelation to me (little slow on the uptake sometimes:o) how much difference that can make. Even a change from 200 to 225 has a big effect on the final outcome. Also on 1/4 inch you might focus a little below the surface.
