Here's a Cribbage Board I made for my brother for Christmas. I used 4 layers of material. On the back is a piece of white acrylic, then a piece of 1/4" MDF, then a piece of 1/8" Baltic Birch, then a piece of 1/8" clear acrylic. I engraved some stuff on the acrylic and some on the birch. The different layers really make it stand out in my opinion. The over all size of this is about 7.5" x 20". I hope he likes it!

Real nice work Mike, what's the actual size?
Is that real strings or is that engraved?

Mike,
The overall size 7.5x20 inches. The "strings" are lasered on, not real. Now it's time to quite to watch the Cowboys play!

Quite a unique and useful gift, Mike! I like the layered effect. Nicely designed and executed.

Mike,

If you could post the Corel file for this project, it would be so cool.

I showed the photos to my wife and now she wants me to make one of these for her dad, son, nephew and one for herself.

Here's the Corel file for it...it is in X3. There are several layers because of how I was designing it and I think I put some direction in there too...Have fun!

Let me know if that doesn't work.

Mike,
Can you re-post the file in Corel 12
Thanks,
Steven

Mike,
This CDR file just has the 2 outlines, it does not show the peg holes or rastered strings and such.

Here's the file in v12...and Ron, it's all there, they are just on different layers and you have to turn the layers on (view them). I turn them off when I'm not printing them, it helps me keep them straight...

Mike,

Thanks again, and yes it looks much better when I turned on all layers.

Here's a Cribbage Board I made for my brother for Christmas. Mike,

...and what kind of a laser are you using to create all that great stuff?:D
No indication in your signature!

Roy,
I am using an 45 watt Epilog Mini24 that I got from a certain Jeannette...I think you might know her...:D

Mike,

First off, thank you for the plans for the cribbage board. I'm working on one as a late Christmas gift to my father-in-law who is in the hospital after having 3 heart attacks two weeks a go.

My question is, what did you use to bond the layers together. I don't want any adhesive showing through the clear acrylic?

Thanks for all your help.
