This is 6.5" x 6.5", right now it just has two coats of Antique Oil. It is turned endgrain from a small log, pith in the center, sapwood all the way around on the outside. There was some ring shake a little ways out from the center of the log that left some voids. I filled some of them with brass filings from the home depot key makers machine.

Curt,
That is a beautiful piece! I always love a piece with a beautifully smooth shape and naturally contrasting colors!

Curt,
This is a thing of beauty, looking forward to seeing after buffing. That is assuming you are going to buff it. What tools do you use for hollowing?
