This is the first ww project picture that I have posted to this site. I'm reasonably new to this site, having found it by accident, while trying to find out about cyclones, and ran across one of Chris Padilla's posts via google. I've been woodworking about 8 years, but I'm still learning a lot.
I built this as part of a volunteer effort to remodel the conference room at our church which is adjoined to the pastor's office. It's to hold a small refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave. I built it out of red oak. The columns came from a piece 2 1/8" x 10.5 x 11 feet roughsawn. I got a lot of experience jointing with my used dj20 and planing. Comments welcome, as I have never attempted something like this before.

Very nice work! Projects that require an original design to fit a specific space or purpose are very rewarding, and sometimes more challenging. Now he needs bookshelves and file cabinets to match! :D

Ed, excellent piece. Like others have said, buidling something to fit a specific task is much more difficult (staying within the limits/constraints). I noticed you used adjustable shelf pins. This is handy in case they decide this is too nice a piece to hold the "kitchen". Thanks for posting.

Be well,

Doc
