Attaching top

quick question, i have a 14" square top for a plant stand for the wife. What is the proper way to secure the top to the legs and skirt? I made the 14" square from 3 pieces of white oak and they are dowelmaxed togather.

I'm partial to the figure 8 clips. Easy to install and provides reasonable movement.

You can also use screws through the bottoms of the aprons into the top. Just elongate the holes in the direction of movement in the apron.
