Where did all the Delta DPs go?

I've been on the prowl for an upgrade from my 12" Craftsman bench drill press and now that I'm ready to buy one I noticed Delta only has 2 on their website. They show the 17" and a bench model. Any chance they are updating their lineup? I really had my mind set on a 20" 1+ hp machine, the 6" quill travel on their machine was really appealing. I tried ordering the 20" a while back but was told it would be back ordered until Oct-Nov.

On a side note, I noticed the Grizzly has a 1 1/2 hp motor, are they known for exaggerating power output or are their numbers realistic? Lately it seems quite a few people are really happy with their products.

Grizzly uses off the shelf induction motors that seem to be rated accurately. A 1.5 HP single phase induction motor should pull around 10-13 amps at 120V. Check the motor nameplate.

The Grizzly draws 15 amps. The spec sheet calls for a 20 amp x 110V breaker.. or a 15amp x 220V breaker would be fine..

I would be confident that it is a 1.5hp motor..
