Artwork Set Up Question

OK.....I have to engrave an image that is 12"x8" onto a marble tile that is 12"x12".....how do I do it and make it look nice?

Any border I use would probably take away from the artwork, so I really don't want to do that.

I do need to put the name of the artwork and the artists name on it.....so I was thinking about doing that in the bottom right hand corner.

Should I shrink the artwork down to say 10"x6" so that there is tile showing on all four sides?

Since it is artwork and not a photo, I can't really use a vignette.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Balance is important, and wide borders on 2 sides with none on the rest would look odd though not as bad if the bare tile is top and bottom rather than left and right. I think I would go with at least 3/4" on all edges. The best thing is to try it several ways on the file before you engrave and see what's the most pleasing to your eye.

Just cut the tile down to the size you need.
