The stain in this maple is hard to beleave. It's going to be a long wait for it to dry. The largest bowl is around 17" IN DIA. The wood is solid as well.

Thanks everyone. The wood has a great deal of color in it. Some is from the ambrosia beetle, but I think a lot comes from the fact that it was just below where the tree forked into three large sections. There was some gravel down in the forks and some rusty nails that had just been placed down into the forks years ago. I did dull my saw on them when I found them, but it was worth the trouble of sharping the saw a few times to get this wood. I hope it dries without much problem and I will post some finished pictures down the road about 6 months.
