I recall an article in Fine Woodworking magazine that was about an early type of laminated wood furniture. A museum had constructed a partial example of a chair using the methods of the factory that made such pieces. It wasn't "modern" furniture. I think it dated to the 1800's or early 1900's. It didn't have the streamlined 1930's look. Does anybody else recall this article? I haven't found information about this furniture on the web.
The verdict of the museum reconstructor was that this type of woodworking was disagreeable. It was like carving plywood.
