Extreme Birdhouses

Hi everyone , Here are a few of my latest extreme birdhouses .They are all made from 100 year old reclaimed barn wood .
This first house is 6 ft wide 45" high and 54 " deep .

That big one's not a house. That's more like a hotel!!

Very nice. I don't know much about bird houses, but does the roof lift off the big one so it can be cleaned out, or is it not designed for that?

What kind of birds is it designed for? Don't they recommend certain sized entry holes for certain birds?

Just curious.

The insides are all removable for easy cleaning .These houses are designed mostly for sparrows . They will fill them up fast .They will also use the same nest every year so i clean them about every 3 years . I also build homes for purple martins .

I gave this house to my son and his new bride a few months ago as a wedding gift .We just put it up this past weekend .
