Info. on old tools (drills)

I have been on this slippery old tool slope for a while now. I have bought mostly Millers Falls tools mostly because I can find information on what I am looking at on:

Lately I have had a growing interest in North Brothers, Goodell Pratt, Stanley.... I have a very hard time finding information on individual tool models. I was hoping some of the other tool heads here might have other links to reliable tool information.

But this site only seems to have patent information and select articles not a general digest of tool information.

Rose Antique Toos web site has a number of old company catalogues (Goodell Pratt among others) in pdf that you can download. There is a quite complete listing of all Miller Falls tools on line (search using google) but I don't have the link.

Fortunately the sources for information on the internet keep growing.

Then again, some of them disappear with little or no warning.

One of my favorites was on Geocities that Yahoo shut down. Luckily there was some warning of this so I copied the pages as much as I could.

Here are some sites with lots of links. The more links you follow, the more you will find. Some of these links may not be exactly what you are looking for, but most are interesting and become more interesting the further down the slop you slide.

I have been playing around with those links and making some major increases in my bookmarks. It will take me a while to catch up on my reading now. Still looks like it takes a great deal more research to find out about individual models of tools other than Millers Falls. I guess I got spoiled.
