latest wood project

This is a birthday present for my daughter. The faces are held in place with magnets and store on the bottom. Now she wants freight cars to go with her "Thomas". Sigh.... never done.

The wood is poplar and some EWP. The round parts were glue ups shaped with a draw knife. The paint is craft store acrylic polished with paste wax.

Nice Thomas. I made a couple for two of my grandsons last Christmas. Not as nice as yours. Also made a rattle for the newest grandson.

Oh my gosh, Christmas will be on us soon again, what to do?
