so all of the rooms in my house have transoms. they were all hinged at the bottom, latched at the top. unfortunately the means of holding them, like so many other poorly maintained older buildings, was "painted shut". they would've worked like so...

in the process of making them functional again, i'm looking around for stops and stays and not having much luck, other than a chain, which i don't really care for the appearance of.
i'd much prefer a trunk-style stay/stop like the one pictured here...

that could be hidden between the transom itself and the jamb.
but can't find any such thing in searching around various hardware sites. anyone know where to get such a thing? one with a grooved single piece of metal designed to pivot inside the jamb would be especially nice, since it could then be entirely hidden.
