I finished a small box with deft and wondering how long I have to wait to buff it out? Have a turning meeting on Monday night and want it to look it's best

Bill - spray or wipe-on? Was it applied on the lathe under speed or off the lathe? Seeing as how it is lacquer it will probably be dry enough for you to buff out just before your meeting. Just be sure to use very light pressure when buffing!

it was wipe on and done while on the lathe at speed I guess I should have said that
