Don't post a lot but realy like these. Trying to upgrade my pens. I don't normaly buy the better blanks but thought I would give it a try.

Nice job, the pens look great, especially the amboyna. Are you glad you sprung for them?

I like them both... I personally don't like the gold finishes but that's my problem. Amboyna is one of my favorites... Love the look and smell but not the price. Never turned that particular kit... How does it compare to the Baron kit from Berea/Arizona silhouette? Is it heavier?

Very nice work on both pens Dennis! Beautiful woods! Really like how the Amboyna catches the light! Thanks for sharing!

I'd have a hard time choosing which one of those I like best. Very nice pens!

Very nice pens. I would have a hard time picking a favorite as both woods make great turnings.

Nice selection of woods and kits. Job well done. What type finish did you go with on these??? Thanks for showing.

Thanks for all the good replys
There where several questions asked.
I have never turned a Baron so I can not make a comparison on the kits.
Am I glad I bought the better blanks? Yes and I will be getting more within the budget.
Mylands friction polish and Renn is all I use on pens.

Great Job, what finish did you use?

I also used Amboyna Burl with my Statesmen pen.
