I love using these old CI grates from area farmhouses. This one is using cherry and curly maple. Nothing fancy but I WELCOME all input from you folks. The size is 16 1/2" X 20 1/2" X 22 1/2" tall.

I think it is a nice table. Interesting use of the grate.

Very unique use of the grate IMO. I like the way you selected the curly maple surround to have grain running the same direction around the peri-meter. The whole thing with the grate included is pleasing to me.

For something not "fancy", you managed to do something realy nice and unique! I love those grate! Nice wood and well used! If Ican say one thing, I like slander legs my self, but with the weight of the grate, it might not be possible?!?! and also it's your design, not mine;)!
Grate job:p

I've never seen grates like that. They make great table tops. I like your wood choice.

Beautiful! I love the idea of using the grates. Did you laminate the cherry and maple together, or is the maple all inlay?

The maple is 1/8" thick inlay onto solid cherry. I probably could have used a little wider inlay on the legs though :(
