Anyone familiar with Bel-Aire compressors? I'm interested in this model:

http://www.squaremcompany.com/industrial-air-compressors/air-compressor-3-0.html

$900 for all this seems like a great deal. Is there a catch?

I'm also considering this model from Rolair with a 20 gal. tank upgrade:

http://www.rolair.net/products/spec_pages/wheeled_electric/3095K18.html#specs

It will be close to $1k.

I want to have the capability to run a RO sander and sprayers. What do you think?

Hello Gregg. I am not familiar with either compressor brand.

When I was in the market for an air compressor, I chose an Ingersoll Rand 2 stage, 5hp, 60 gal unit from Northern Tool. (http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200318461_200318461) When I bought mine about 5 years ago, it cost just under $1000, today it is just under $1200. But, it is shipped from the IR factory FREE OF CHARGE.

Ingersoll Rand is recognized as one the top 2 or 3 compressor companies in the US. If I had the need to replace it, I would buy the same unit again.:)

I'll check out the IR's. A guy at Rolair told me (of course) that he feels theirs are better than IR. He noted that IR uses an iron pump head compared to their aluminum head over iron cylinders. He stated this dissipates heat better and prolongs pump life.
