If so, what are your impressions of it.

At $600-730, I would be passing up on a number of other tools. However, it looks like ALOT of thought went into it, and it is very versatile for larger constructions. I can see this being very useful for a mobile shop.

Many of the same arguments as Festool...

I was wondering if something similar couldn't be made without too much trouble out of 80/20?

If I worked in the field instead of in my shop one of these could be handy. It would have to save me time and/or allow me to do better than the next guy in order to earn its price tag. They do look well thought out and when considering the price I look at them like any other high dollar tool; a "nice to have" for a home shop and a possible "edge on the competition" for the pro would make it worthwhile.

Very clever, but a bit like those contraptions from the 50's. Saw, drill press, lathe, router station... How many times can you flip it over and fiddle with it before you wish you had 2 sturdier tables at different heights?

not the sort of thing I'd buy.
If I were a carpenter maybe but I prefer my 2 benches and ship anchor of a torsion box.

Over at talkFestool there are a number of members that have used this bench.
