That is a great score. I think the little jet in the backgrkound will feel overwhelmed by that big 4 bagger. I don't envy you when it comes time to empty the bags. (cough, cough):D:D

I'd mount the motor and impeller on top of one of the $190 cyclone bodies on Ebay. With this setup you could exhaust outside. You'd have a $300 cyclone dust collector with no bags to empty. Smaller footprint, too...

+1 - exactly what I was about to say. Or build a Pentz design yourself.

You're very lucky on that drum sander...

I've been scouring CL for months and the deals have been sour at best.

I usually dont read these gloat type threads anymore because I'm always left feeling so envious. This is the last time, I'm never going to click on another gloat thread again!

Thanks for all the You suck comments. lol.

So here is a general reply to everyone...

I allways watch ebay and craigslist. I've been on the hunt for a +6" jointer for a while without much luck. I recently moved back home to indiana. My father just got done building a 30x40' shop. He has gotten into woodworking since he retired and i've been doing it for a living for about 2 years now. I moved all my tools into his shop so he would have better stuff to work with. :) I allways keep an eye out for tool upgrades.

About 1 week ago my older model grizzly dc threw a bearing in the motor so i've been hunting for a 1-2hp motor for it. I just happend to check craigslist localy the other night and spied the add for both of these items so of course i jumped on it! email the guy from 2 different email addresses.

talked to him on the phone the next day, and went to pick them up that night. they were in much better condition that what i expected. I guess he purchased them from a gentlemen selling his whole shop 2 years ago. Thats what he paid for them and thats what he was asking. he actually had someone offer him more money but he said i contacted him first... :)

I've considered doing the cyclone option, and may do it in the future..

oh and not to gloat some more, but here are two more scores i've had lately..

Picked up a delta dc-33 planer about a month ago for $400... Needed a little cleaning up, but here is a pic before i took it apart. its a beast! and purrs like a kitten now.

Also stopped by the local woodcraft and snagged a case of 1 1/4" wood screws. 9000 screws for $25.00! original price $150!

Nice score on both of those, too. Oh, and nice sized shop to be working in. ;)
