I am in the process of making my first humidor and I've come across an issue that I can't quite solve. On humidors that I've looked at, the dividers have what appears to be 1/32" thick single sided closed foam tape on the ends to provide a friction lock and prevent them from sliding around. I can't find any of this tape anywhere, nor do I have any other ideas on how to hold the dividers in place. Can anybody help?:confused:

I have seen some humidors with nothing more than wood against wood in a friction fit.

I make dividers for boxes using thin strips of wood with V notches at the points where I want a cross divider. The dividers are pointed on the ends to match the V-notches. These can be inserted or removed without tools or fasteners. You can see these types of dividers inside the cherry box in the photo.http://www.home.earthlink.net/~us71na/emilyjewel3.jpg

I've made a "crumb tray" using cross supports that I cut out with my box cutting jig. Just cut along one edge of a board and then slice off at 3/8". Then put it all together using 1/4" strips - as you can see in the picture.

Then, I made tray dividers using the box cutting jig along one edge as well - and they fit neatly & tight anywhere along the "crumb tray".... The end user's love it. Good luck.
