This one was from the same tree, and finished as the last. I thought you might like to see how I worked with the design on this one. There were no voids to fill in this piece. I appreciate your comments.

Great bowl! 17" is large that must have been one big magnolia tree. I need a bigger lathe! 12" is the largest I have turned so far.

I appreciate your kind comments, I did learn how to spell Southern, and magnolia cuts like butter. I do love to turn it.

I am so amazed at the ability of wood turners. I wish I could turn anything other then table legs. Plus I am sure the money would be better as well.:D That bowl is just BEAUTIFUL!

That's top-shelf, Glenn! Gorgeous wood and you nailed the shape dead-on! :) And, as others have said, I too really love the rim detail. Very well done all the way around! :cool:
