I call it a candy dish, but it probably won't be used for that. It is curly maple and old growth mahogany. It is 5" wide and 8" tall. It is finished with friction polish. This is my first use of a photo tent I picked up at HF. Still got some work to do with that thing. By the way; how the #$^# do you fold that ^&%()) thing back up :).

I like your lidded bowl, but I don't think it'll work all that well as a candy dish. At least, I'd have a hard time reaching into that small opening with my big hands.

Ray, that's very cool. I like the contrast between the woods and you did a great job on the detailed mahogany parts.

Seriously though, it is a beautiful lidded bowl.
