I've read several reviews on here about the Steel City bandsaws including the 50130. Good, bad, and down right scary for someone investing $700.
I've really only found two places that sell this, Took King (out of stock) and Woodcraft (available to order tomorrow). I've also found the same at my two local Woodcraft stores that they too seem to not want to deal with Steel City. I purchased their 3-speed Air Cleaner last year and so far it's worked like a dream.
Anyway, Woodcraft is listing their 50130 bandsaw as a "Type 2". For those that have and/or provided their reviews of the 50130, was that the Type 2 model? I'll go out on a limb here and assume the Type 2 is a "design tweek" of the original to correct some problems and make a better product.
Any info would be appreciated.
