I am about to start a large carcase assembly project and can't find the article and plans that i saw in one of magazines. What I am looking for was a triangle shape with some flats cut into it, so you could butt 2 panels together at a 90 deg angle and clamp it there while you screw the two together. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I found one, is there any improvements that could be made?

Mine are pretty much just like that. A well tuned tablesaw sled make them a breeze to make. I have two sets, 7-1/2" and 10-1/2" on the side you show as 12". I have some commercial ones I received as a gift (large and small) and they are nice for smaller stuff but I reach for the shop made ones most. Mine are just made from 3/4" ply scrap. I used to wipe BLO, shellac or whatever on them when I was done with the rag but it was still damp. Over the years they have become well sealed and I don't do that anymore.

I can't picture how this works. Does anyone have a photo of it in use? Thanks.

Many uses. Here's the basic:

Glenn, I couldn't help but notice the plywood stealth bombers handing on your wall :D...seriously, I need to make some! They would have come in handy today! When you scaled them down, did you keep the same cutouts?

The hole should be plenty large enough for whatever clamp you may use (I had to re-drill some of mine). I think I scaled down a little on the smaller ones. Maybe from 2" to 1-3/4" as I didn't want the end of the "leg" where the clamp goes to be weakened.

Glenn,
Thank you so much for posting the pics and the scaled dimensions! I am thinking of making 3 sets of them. I also was contemplating on making each of them a "double thickness". Is there any advantage to doing that? Maybe it is overkill...
