Just looking to see if anyone has the Thompson 1-3/8th or 1-1/4" skew and what you think. Thanks.:)

I have the 1.25 and it's a joy to use. Even use it on pens now and then. Mounted to a maple CS handle.

Mounted to a maple CS handle.Guys, what is a CS handle? BTW, I appreciate this thread as I am considering one of the larger skews.

I have the 1 1/4 and the 1/2 from Doug, they are very nice tools. I am determined to learn how to use them and have found the 1/2 to be fun to use on the small stock that I have been playing with.

Well I don't know what the CS stands for either. I ordered the 3/4" v gouge and am considering the skew. What does SRG stand for, BTW? Looking for something that will hold an edge longer than M2. Right now I just have a few Sorby tools and some Delta spindle tools. Even a couple of BB scrapers. I'm all mixed up as usual.:)

SRG = Spindle Roughing Gouge

I assume that the previously mentioned CS is Craft Supplies.
