Ok as some of you know, I am attempting to get back into woodworking and turning.

I ran accross a a lathe..

The capacity is 7" in diameter & 27" between centers. Variable speed 700 to 1800 rpms, Model #6750 16 McGraw Edison

Any input on this? I can get it for 35.00 bucks..

it is a great spindle lathe. get it. iirc this is one of those lathes that had a wooden bed that you can change the length of.
even if it is not. still get it. the old lathes lke that are heavy duty and well built. and that is amazingly cheap. get it

that was not what i thought it was. that will make a good spindle lathe, but not for bowls. sorry about the mix up. there used to be another company called edison who made heavy duty metal lathes, many years ago

Pens and spindles will be all it is about good for. Low speed is to fast for bowls and vases. I would pass if it were me and look for something better.
