Wood Gloat
I am always looking for cheap wood to toss onto my CNC router. To that end, I hunt garage sales and CL’s list a lot. I have taken to buying cheap solid wood tables for my carving projects.
Today the wife and I went to pick up a small Thomasville table I spotted on CL. it was $20; which is more than twice what I usually pay . I really liked the picture of the table, so we went to pick it up. After scoring the table, we stopped for gas next to this beat up mall that had a discount furniture store.
We decided to see if they had any tabletops they would part with cheap. The pictures tell the story. I filled my Aztec to the gills and had to carry the Thomasville table on my lap for the ride home, all 20 pounds of it. I got 23 pieces including some solid chair seats and an all-wood 24” Diameter lazy Suzan.

I forgot to mention that I paid a average of $4.34 per piece.
