Well, it's that time of the year again. The high school that my wife works at has an appreciation lunchen to honor the Senior Citizens of the community and they give door prizes to selected ones. I made the following items to be included in the door prizes. I made three of the big french bread cutting boards and four of the small cutting boards. I also made a purple & gold pen from dyed box elder burl along with the pen box which is ash and mesquite.

Very nice donations! I'm sure they will be appreciated.

Nice work Bobby and I can tell you that seniors appreciate things you do for them.. I officially retired yesterday so maybe I should have showed up to see if I could win some loot. :)

When you drilled the hole for the pen in the pen case, did you then plug it back up? A side view of the pen case would show the answer.
I really like the yellow on the pen. A little more alive than the standard.

Nice work, Bobby, and certainly a good cause. I like the long french bread board - nice shape and good style.
