Does anybody know a good source of hardwood around the Fredericksburg/Richmond area? I have been purchasing in southern Md and northern Va - but would like to find a closer source in Fredericksburg or Richmond. I am 65 miles east of Fredericksburg and 70 miles NNE of Richmond.

thanks ... jim

James,

I have used Northland Forest Products (http://northlandforest.com/ ). They have retail stores in Troy Va. and Manassas Va. Prices and section have always been very good.

+ 1 on Northland. I have been happy with the Manassas store.

+2 on Northland. At least the Manassas store. If the Troy set up is like the one in Manassas you will be pleased at the selection and prices.

thanks. i have always used vienna hardwoods (mill street) - good selection and good prices. colonial hardwoods in springfield has excellent products but much higher pricing. found a supplier in southern maryland - la plata - not at home right now so don't know the name.

still haven't found one in richmond area - as i am northeast of the city, manassas is further away.

Another vote for Northland for hardwoods and Wurth for sheet goods.
