I have some small pieces that I need a 52 degree angle on one end. My saw only goes to 45 degrees.Any help on how I may do this? Thanks for any help.

miter saw? can you not flip the piece and cut it on the 'other' side? or lightly glue it to another cut piece to make the angle? think outside the conventional - let us know how you fare. mike

Make a jig to clamp them to a board that slides vertically along the fence. Set the blade at 38 degrees.

I had a similar situation on a project a few years ago.

The solution to my problem was to place a 90 degree angle block agains my miter saw and aim the board straight towards the blade. The board still rested on the backstop on the saw and I was able to cut a 75 degree angle.

Bob,

The degree scale on today's powered mitre saws display a 90 degree angle as zero. To cut a 89 degree angle on this scale you would set the scale at 1 (90 -1 = 89). A 45 degree angle would be set at 45 (90 - 45 = 45). Your 52 degree angle on this scale would be set at 38 (90 -52 = 38) I made the attached drawing to illustrate the concept.

Can you clarify if this is a long miter cut requiring the tablesaw or are we talking about a piece of trim? For a long cut I do as Brian K mentions.

The piece is 2" wide.
