Beautiful pieces but I've never heard of Sapote. Is that a North American wood or an exotic? ........Ron

Hey Ron,

White Sapote is also known as custard apple. I got a selection of small blanks from a turner in Hawaii. The milo from the first post is from the same guy. I get a kick out of turning stuff that I know nothing about, and thus far, I've really enjoyed the majority of the stuff I've turned from Hawaii.

The second bowl is way beautiful in shape and wood. Doesn't look like any spalted hack that I've seen though. Guess I've been missing out on some nice wood.
